Crestor (Rosuvastatin) (Crestor 20 mg) and Osimertinib: interaction and safety
This source-based reference is not a personal treatment recommendation. The relevance and management of an interaction depend on the exact products, route, dose and clinical situation.
Interaction mechanism
Osimertinib can inhibit transporter-mediated disposition and increase rosuvastatin exposure.
Clinical significance and safety
Osimertinib increased rosuvastatin exposure in the product-label interaction study. Crestor 20 mg contains this BCRP substrate, so the prescriber should review potential exposure-related adverse effects and the partner medicine’s own precautions. This does not mean every patient requires a dose change.
Using this information
This is a source-based reference record, not a recommendation to combine, stop or change medicines. A missing interaction record does not establish safe use. A qualified healthcare professional should consider the exact products, doses, other medicines and individual health circumstances.
