Dual renin–angiotensin-system blockade increases hypotension, hyperkalaemia and renal risks.
Clinical significance and safety
Cozaar (Losartan) and Fosinopril: Combining ACE inhibitors and ARBs, or two RAS-blocking treatments, is generally not recommended: most patients gain no extra benefit while adverse effects increase. If a specialist identifies a particular reason, blood pressure, kidney function and potassium require close monitoring. Do not start or alter such a combination yourself.
