Abrocitinib and Aspirin (Dispril 400 mg): interaction and safety

This source-based reference is not a personal treatment recommendation. The relevance and management of an interaction depend on the exact products, route, dose and clinical situation.

Interaction mechanism

Platelet-count effects can add bleeding risk with antiplatelet therapy during early abrocitinib treatment.

Clinical significance and safety

Dispril 400 mg has antiplatelet activity. The U.S. abrocitinib label contraindicates antiplatelet therapy during the first three months, except aspirin at 81 mg/day or less. The product strength registered here is not automatically covered by that exception. Do not stop a prescribed cardiovascular medicine independently; the prescriber must reconcile the treatments.

Using this information

This is a source-based reference record, not a recommendation to combine, stop or change medicines. A missing interaction record does not establish safe use. A qualified healthcare professional should consider the exact products, doses, other medicines and individual health circumstances.
