Apalutamide and Atogepant: interaction and safety
This source-based reference is not a personal treatment recommendation. The relevance and management of an interaction depend on the exact products, route, dose and clinical situation.
Interaction mechanism
CYP3A4 induction lowers atogepant exposure; management differs for episodic and chronic migraine.
Clinical significance and safety
Apalutamide can reduce atogepant exposure and weaken preventive migraine treatment. Current US labeling permits a clinician-selected modified regimen for episodic migraine, but does not recommend the combination for chronic migraine. The indication and complete medicine list must be reviewed before use.
Using this information
This is a source-based reference record, not a recommendation to combine, stop or change medicines. A missing interaction record does not establish safe use. A qualified healthcare professional should consider the exact products, doses, other medicines and individual health circumstances.
