Digoxin (Digoxin Berk 0.25 mg) and Lasmiditan: interaction and safety
This source-based reference is not a personal treatment recommendation. The relevance and management of an interaction depend on the exact products, route, dose and clinical situation.
Interaction mechanism
P-glycoprotein inhibition may increase exposure to digoxin, a narrow-therapeutic-index substrate.
Clinical significance and safety
The lasmiditan label does not recommend coadministration with digoxin, the active ingredient in Digoxin. A small increase in digoxin concentration can cause serious toxicity; the combination needs prescriber review rather than unsupervised use. Fainting, marked slowing or irregularity of the pulse, or severe unexplained nausea warrant prompt assessment.
Using this information
This is a source-based reference record, not a recommendation to combine, stop or change medicines. A missing interaction record does not establish safe use. A qualified healthcare professional should consider the exact products, doses, other medicines and individual health circumstances.
