Clinical significance and safety
Voriconazole (Vorikonazol) contains a systemic strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Voclosporin labeling contraindicates this inhibitor class because increased exposure can cause serious toxicity, including nephrotoxicity. A specialist should select an alternative; this does not apply to topical ketoconazole shampoo as though it were oral ketoconazole.
