Ribociclib and Venetoclax: interaction and safety
This source-based reference is not a personal treatment recommendation. The relevance and management of an interaction depend on the exact products, route, dose and clinical situation.
Interaction mechanism
Ribociclib inhibits CYP3A to a moderate or strong degree depending on the regimen, potentially increasing the partner medicine’s exposure.
Clinical significance and safety
The interaction between Ribociclib and Venetoclax depends on the ribociclib regimen and on the other anticancer medicine’s product information. The rules for a strong inhibitor must not automatically be applied to a moderate inhibitor. Strong inhibition may require avoidance, interruption or specialist adjustment; moderate inhibition still needs the partner-specific monitoring or adjustment described below. The oncology team must make these decisions. For venetoclax, strong inhibition is contraindicated during CLL initiation and dose escalation. CLL maintenance and AML require regimen-specific adjustment; moderate inhibition also needs specialist adjustment and close monitoring.
Using this information
This is a source-based reference record, not a recommendation to combine, stop or change medicines. A missing interaction record does not establish safe use. A qualified healthcare professional should consider the exact products, doses, other medicines and individual health circumstances.
